Controller
FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Job Summary:
Luke & Associates Inc. is looking for a skilled Controller to oversee our accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves collaborating with the executive team and board to forecast, budget, and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA required
- 2-4 years of experience managing or supervising a finance team
- Experience with government contracts is a plus
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Knowledge of global ERP and consolidation software systems (e.g., Unanet, Deltek, Management Reporting)
Core Duties and Additional Skills:
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Establish processes for accurate forecasting and budgeting of the P&L, balance sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
- Coordinate and direct year-end audits
- Manage all accounting operations for the business
- Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls for asset projection
- Conduct month-end and quarter-end analytics, including P&L and balance sheet flux analysis
- Collaborate with local finance/accounting teams to ensure compliance with global processes and policies
- Perform ad-hoc technical accounting research on US GAAP-related issues
- Own the close calendar
